Barbara Grace Cook, 64

LAUREL - Barbara Grace Cook, of Laurel, passed away at her home on Friday, March 14, 2008. She was 64.

She was a daughter of the late James and Resa McIntyre.

Barbara retired from Shore Stop as a manager and had once managed the a Tru Blu convenience store.

Her family will remember her for her love of her grandchildren, her enjoyment working with crafts and her love of travel.

Barbara will also be remembered for her dedication to many foster children whom she took into her home and raised.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Joan Bailey.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Cook Sr.; a son, Robert Cook Jr. of Alabama; her daughters, Pamela Caruso and Marion Binkoski, both of Laurel; a brother, Lamar Bartell of Newark; and her sister, Peggy Warwick of Newark.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service.

Pastor Barry Devine will officiate.

Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
