Barbara C. Franic, 70

FELTON - Barbara C. Franic, of Felton, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, in East Stroudsburg, Pa. She was 70. Barbara was born in Baltimore, daughter of the late Narsisses and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Martin. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and canning. In addition to her parents, Barbara's husband, George W. Franic, preceded her in death in 2002. She is survived by her children, Frederick Balcom, Rita Gorzynski, Milton "Bo" Balcom, Glenn Balcom, Edward Balcom, Lisa Malloy and George Franic and wife Dian; two brothers, Wayne and Glenn Martin and sister, Linda Beach; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
