MILLSBORO - Mrs. Barbara Anne Shultie passed away on Thursday, Mar. 2, 2017, at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown.
Barbara was born in Nassau on Jul. 27, 1931, to the late, John O. and Elsie Mae Pusey Brittingham.
Barbara was a graduate of Millsboro High School. She married Donald in 1949, and she was co-owner of Duck's Service Center and Towing, where she worked alongside her husband, for over 50 years. She was a member of Carey's United Methodist Church and Delmarva Evangelistic, in Salisbury. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially liked attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. Barbara was a devoted Christian woman her whole life.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death, by her husband, Donald "Duck" Shultie in 2010; and a brother, Clifton O. Brittingham.
She is survived by four children, Steven and Gail Shultie of Montgomery Village, Md., Philip and Susan Shultie of Georgetown, Jeff and Sherry Shultie of Millsboro, and Dona and Barry Dean of Clarksville; a sister, Betty Joines of Sharptown, Md.; and nine grandchildren, Seth and Megha Shultie, Jason, Brandon, and Hannah Shultie, Dustin and Shannon Shultie, Brock and Becca Dean, Josh Tyler and Colby Dean; she is also survived by step-grandchildren, Pam Clowser and Eddie Hearn; as well as great-grandchildren, Addie and Wyatt Dean, Cierra and Sidney Hearn, and Brooke Clowser.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2017, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 12 noon for viewing and visitation.
Burial will follow in Carey's Cemetery, in Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations, to Harrison Senior Living, 110 W. North St., Georgetown, DE 19947, or Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
