Audrey Elizabeth Sherrill passed away on February 28, 2022 in Dover, Delaware from natural causes after a long illness.
Audrey was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Long Branch, New Jersey and would later graduate from Monmouth College to become an elementary school teacher. However, due to her extensive training as a classical pianist, she would also go on to be a premier piano teacher in Delaware and President of the Delaware Music Teacher's Association with many accomplished pianists under her tenure as teacher. Audrey was a fixture of the classical music community in the State of Delaware as well as the church organist at Dover Air Force Base for decades.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Haskell Sherrill; children, Michael (Carol) Sherrill, Ronald (Sharon) Sherrill, Teresa (Hugh) Brennan and Brian; along with nine grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna D'Ambrisi; brother, Michael D'Ambrisi, Jr.; and grandson, Denis.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 8, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S State St Dover, Del. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover, Del.
