MARYDEL - Arthur C. Becker, of Marydel, passed away at home Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. He was 64.
Mr. Becker was born Feb. 4, 1943, in Philadelphia, the son of Mary Dudek Becker of Lafayette Hill, Pa. and the late Arthur Becker.
He was a class of 1960 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Whitemarsh, Pa.
Mr. Becker worked as an electrician for Local 98 IBEW in Philadelphia for more than 30 years before retirement.
Mr. Becker loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. He was known for being able to fix anything.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Rouse Becker; a daughter, Holly E. Homka of Marydel; a brother, Richard Becker and his wife Beverly of Norristown, Pa.; a sister, Darlene Stevens of Norristown; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services and burial will be private.
Instead of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301; or to the Special Olympics.
Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 South Main Street, Smyrna.
