Annie Ruth Shaw 'Honey', 82

DOVER - Annie Ruth "Honey" Shaw, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, in her home. She was 82. She was born on March 24, 1926 in Sylvester, Ga. She lived in Quincy, Fla. and Plainfield, N.J. before moving to Delaware since 2000. Annie had worked as a dietician for the Lyons VA Medical Center in New Jersey for 38 years. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Plainfield, N.J. and was on the Deacon Board for many years. Annie is survived by two daughters, Annette Vaughn and her husband Walter, of Dover, and Joann Lee, of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, David Thomas and Robert Allman, both of Quincy, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many friends. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Rev. Holmes will officiate. Burial will be private.
