Anna Stella Ross

MILFORD - Anna Stella Ross of Hearthstone Manor, passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center on Jan. 1, 2014 after a long illness. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Milford. She retired from Hatfield Quality Meat, Hatfield, Pa. She was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios in the 1950s. She had been a volunteer for hospice in Delaware. She enjoyed painting on canvas, was an avid movie buff and loved animals. As a kind and caring person, she gifted her body to the University of Delaware Physical Therapy Department. She was preceded in death by her parents, Susie and Edwin Ross; two sisters, Rosemarie Ross and Edda Lobb; a nephew, John Charles Cisick; and her long-time companion Fred Leuisdorf. She is survived by sisters, Carmela Santangelo in Norristown, Pa, Delores Weikert of Schwenksville, Pa, and Sue Cisick of Milford; her nieces and nephews, Patricia Tyson, Cynthia Canevari, Christina Scott, Peter Cisick, Eileen Ammon, Patrick Lobb, Michael Lobb and Susan O'Malley; and many greatnieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford, DE 19963. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. For online condolences, please visit chandlerfuneralhome.com
