Anna Lee Simpson, 97 CAMDEN - Anna Lee Simpson, of Camden, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was 97. She was born on April 18, 1911, Dover, daughter of the late Jester and Fannie (Faucett) Morris. Anna Lee was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, class of 1929. She enjoyed life as a homemaker and sharing time with family, friends and her church. Anna Lee was a member of Whatcoat United Methodist Church and a member and past president of the Wyoming-Camden Round Table Club. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, former Secretary of State under Gov. Russel Peterson, Walton H. Simpson in 1993 and her son Samuel W. Simpson in 1997. She is survived by her sister Margaret Kelechava of Newark; daughter Ann S. Spence; her husband Donald of Camden; daughter-in-law Ruth M. Simpson; seven grandchildren Matthew W. Spence, Paul J. Spence, Michael A. Spence, Jennifer A. Spence, S. Walton Simpson, Joseph B. Simpson and Samantha R. Simpson; two great-grandchildren Dylan J. Spence and Brianna N. Simpson; several nieces and nephews and her faithful caregivers. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 16 N. Main St., Camden, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Simpson-Richardson Scholarship Fund, c/o Whatcoat Church, 16 N. Main St., Camden, DE 19934.
