PERRYVILLE, MD - Anna Isabel Caldwell, formerly of Galena, Md., died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in Perry Point VA Hospital. She was 87. She was born March 14, 1922 in Maryland, the daughter of the late Rev. Henry T. Caldwell and Isabel Huey Caldwell. Ms. Caldwell served her country in the United States Army in the European Theatre in World War II working as a nurse. After her discharge from the military she continued working as a nurse in Dover Hospital in the maternity ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Henry T. Caldwell Jr.; and one sister, Mary Caldwell Fore. She is survived by one sister, Rebecca Caldwell Uetz Goldblatt of Elkton, Md.; three nieces, Donna Uetz, Mary Young, and Tessie Goldblatt Hayes; one nephew, Jeffrey Uetz; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, at Massey Cemetery in Massey, Md.
