Ann P. Horan, 76

SMYRNA - Ann P. Horan, of Smyrna and East Orleans, Mass., died on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 76.

She was born in North Hampton, Mass., the daughter of the late Dr. Robert and Gertrude Pollard.

Mrs. Horan was a graduate of Edgewood Park College, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.

She was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church and the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, both of Smyrna, and also St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Orleans, Mass.

Mrs. Horan enjoyed dancing, cooking, bowling, traveling and spending time at the beach.

Above all else, she loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harold J. Horan Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Boechetter.

She is survived by two sons, Harold J. Horan III of Smyrna and Timothy A. Horan of York, Pa.; three daughters, Colleen Lilly of Gill, Mass., Ruth Ann Regan of Waterbury, Conn., and Kathleen Castleberry of High Point, N.C.; ten grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South Street, Smyrna.

Burial will be in Orleans, Mass. on Saturday.

Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Smyrna.
