Ann Jackson Blackburn

DAGSBORO - Ann Jackson Blackburn, of Dagsboro, formerly of Cambridge, Md., passed away on Jan. 16, 2012. She was born in Cambridge, Md., to the late Ralph and Mabel Jackson on Aug. 25, 1936. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Blackburn Sr. Mrs. Blackburn was employed by Treasure Beach Campground an Manager for 25 years before retiring in 1996. She loved birds and cats and was an avid reader. She is survived by two sons, William Blackburn Jr. and wife Janet of Millsboro, and Scott Blackburn of West Grove, Pa.; three grandchildren, Chris, Heather and Matthew Blackburn; one great-grandchild, Dylan Stewart; two sisters, Lula Mae Phillips and husband Tommy, and Doris Thomas; and a brother, Ralph Jackson Sr. She is also survived by caretakers, Diane, Annie and Inez along with her granddaughter, Heather, who also took care of her. A funeral service will be noon, Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Bob Hudson will officiate. Burial will follow at Prince Georges Cemetery, Dagsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
