Ann E. Cowley, 67

REHOBOTH BEACH - Ann E. Cowley of Rehoboth Beach passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 67.

Mrs. Cowley was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late William and Anna McAllister McDonald.

She moved to the area in 1996 from Upper Darby, Pa.

Mrs. Cowley was a homemaker who loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, music and going to the slots. She also loved cats and enjoyed caring for stray cats in the neighborhood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Cowley Jr. in 1999.

She is survived by 11 children, Donna J. Rieman of Wallingford, Pa., Cynthia Denver of Hebron, Md., Virginia and Edward Norman of Daytona Beach, Fla., Bethanne Motti, Joseph Gallagher, both of Rehoboth Beach, Janet Boerckel of Upper Darby, Marianne Gallagher of Seaford, Leigh Gallagher of Hershey, Pa., Laurie Connor of Dallas, Barbara Connor of Laurel and Abigail Haines of Morton, Pa.; several grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was Thursday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.

Burial was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
