Ann Clair Zevnik

Ann Clair Zevnik, 61

CLAYTON - Ann Clair Zevnik, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. She was 61. Ms. Zevnik was born April 22, 1947 in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Francis Clair Zevnik and the late Marie Emily Klos Zevnik. Ann worked as a registered nurse and was known to be a very caring person. She was a member of the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, America Toy Fox Terrier Club, Delaware Valley Toy Dog Association, and Nations Capital Yorkshire Terrier Club. She loved her toy dogs and bred many champions and show dogs. In addition to her father, Ann is survived by two sisters, Mary E. Pagano, of Lansdale, Pa. and Ruthelen C. Jester and her husband Marc, of Cudjoe Key, Fla.; a brother, Francis Clair Zevnik Jr., of Sheboygan, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; and her hetero life mate with whom she lived, Dorothy Kendall, of Clayton. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 in the Free Will Baptist Church, 4519 S. DuPont Pkwy., Townsend, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
