Angeline E. Clifford, 92 DOVER - Angeline E. Clifford, of Dover, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 92. Mrs. Angeline E. Clifford was born on Aug. 22, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She moved to Long Island at an early age. She was the daughter of Anna G. and Richard Holmes. She moved to Delaware in 1971. She loved the outdoors and her home on Mifflin Road in Dover. Mrs. Clifford was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Sylvester Randolph Clifford who died on Jan. 11, 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Shackelford and her husband John of Bayport, N.Y.; her son, Randy Clifford and his wife Kathy of Livingston, Mont.; two grandchildren, Lisa Neri and her husband Nick of Holbrook, N.Y., and John Shackelford II and his wife Laura of Rocky Point, N.Y.; seven great-grandchildren, John, Rebecca, James, Hanna, Paul, Sarah and Nicholas; four brothers, John Holmes of Medford, N.Y., Richard Holmes of Medford, N.Y., Thomas Holmes and his wife Ruth of Sayville, N.Y., Joseph Holmes of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Vivian Dearborn and her husband Bill of Mount Doro, Fla.; a good friend, Jan Jacques of San Diego, Calif.; many nieces and nephews and their children who she loved for their love and kindness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday evening. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Cemetery, Dover.
