Amy Kay Bray

FELTON - Amy Kay Bray passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Kent General Hospital.
Amy was born July 21, 1974 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. to Rev. Kenneth H. George and the late Kathryn Dorothy Asher. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She received her degree in business from Luzerne County Community College, and became a licensed cosmetologist/instructor.
She was a cosmetologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Amy was an avid American Girl Doll collector and made clothes for them. She and a group of women who met on the internet started a group "Dolls for a Cause", where they made doll cloths and auctioned them off and donated proceeds to various charities including, Autism, Breast Cancer, and several other charities. Amy always participated in children's activities including scouting, band boosters and 4-H. She was a member of the Woodside United Methodist Church, where she was very active.
Amy was preceded in death by her mother in 2002.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Russell A. Bray, Jr. of Felton; sons, Ryan Asher Bray and Avery Kenneth Bray both at home; and her father, Ken of Felton. She was loved by her nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m., service at 1 p.m. at Woodside United Methodist Church, 1407 Main Street, Woodside, DE 19980.
An additional service will also be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 friends may call from 11 to 12 p.m., service at 12 p.m. at Puritan Congregational Church, 67-69 S. Sherman St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Autism Delaware, or the Amy Kay George Bray Memorial fund that will benefit her sons.
