BRADENTON, Fla. - Alva Z. Delmar, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Dover passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Dec. 17, 2018.
She was born on May 24, 1920, in Pulaski, Va., the 4th of 13 children of J. B. and Ada Hall.
Alva married the love of her life, Garlda C. Wright in 1940 and they had two sons, Jerry, who predeceased her and Clifford. She was widowed in 1959. She married Edward Delmar in 1970, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Alva is survived by her son, Clifford Wright of Bradenton, Fla.; step-son, Dennis Delmar of Dover; two sisters, Helen King of Pulaski, Va. and Thelma Wheeling of Lynchburg, Va.; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services on Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the Wright family plot in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 35 Rising Sun Rd., Camden.
