Alice Tracy

DOVER - Alice Tracy, of Dover, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 in her home. She was 81. Mrs. Tracy was born on August 25, 1932 in White Plains, New York to the late James Gavin and Helen Foley Gavin. She was a homemaker, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. She enjoyed golfing, walking, and hiking, and loved being a grandmother. Mrs. Tracy was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Tracy in 1990. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Tracy; four sons and their wives, Robert Tracy Jr. and Angela of Manassas, Va., Peter Tracy and Christine of Cartersville, Ga., James Tracy and Sarah of Herndon, Va., and Kevin Tracy and Patricia of Sterling, Va; two daughters and their husbands, Katherine Schmid and John of Dalton, Ohio, and Maureen Origoni and Michael of Emerson, N.J.; her brother, Paul Gavin of White Plains, N.Y. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, Caitlin, Melissa, Michael Jr., Katrina, Irene, Laura, Ryan, Megan, Jessica, Emily, Joseph, Cormac, Ian, Elena, and Theresa. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, N.Y. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Amigos De Jesus Orphanage, 118 Woodland Ave., Malvern, PA 19355-2734.
