SALISBURY, Md. - Alfred William James of Salisbury died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, in Genesis Elder Care, Salisbury. He was 90.
Mr. James was born in Blades, Del., son of the late Aletha May Culver and Elmer Clifford James.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a mechanic for Al's Volkswagen Service in Delmar, Del., before retiring in 1981.
Mr. James was a life member of the Delmar Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard James; and a sister, Elizabeth Parlett.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (Fisher) Bower James; a son, William J. James of Delmar; three stepdaughters, Patricia Denherder of Nanticoke, Fran Castello of Houston, Texas, and Judy Riggin of Laurel, Del.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford, Del.
A graveside service will follow in Blades Cemetery. The Rev. Richard J. Bridge will officiate.
