Albert LaMarche

DOVER - Albert LaMarche, of Dover, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 71. Mr. LaMarche was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Hartford, Conn., to the late Albert D. and Sophie Mary Chessey LaMarche. He served as a flight engineer in the USAF, retiring at the rank of MSgt with 20 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Francis LaMarche; and a sister, Rosemary New. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lois Wiebel LaMarche of Dover; two daughters, Karin LaMarche and Vera LaMarche; brother, David LaMarche; two sisters, Elizabeth DeLorme, and Diane Michaud; and three grandchildren, Alexander, Ryan and Allyson. Funeral services will be held in Christ Church, State and Water streets, Dover, on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m., with interment following in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, Monday evening, 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Kent County SPCA, 34 Shelter Cr., Camden, DE 19934; or American Association for Cancer Research, 615 Chestnut St. 17th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Letters of condolence may be posted, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
