BRIDGEVILLE - Alan David Russell passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at the Seaford Center. Alan was born in Milford to the late Clifford and Edna Parsons Russell, and he was the oldest of six siblings. He grew up on the family farm and after graduation from Bridgeville High School, he was employed by DuPont Company. He later was licensed as a pipe fitter. Alan served in the Delaware National Guards. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Alan D. Russell Jr. He is survived by three brothers, Brad, Bruce, and Carlos Russell and their families; two sisters, Agnes Shane and Cheryl Russell, who was his caretaker for the last several years; plus a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market Street, Greenwood, DE 19950. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Cokesbury Cemetery, Georgetown.
