Agnes Mabel (Wright) Payne, 82

GREENWOOD - Agnes Mabel (Wright) Payne of Greenwood died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at her home. She was 82.

Agnes was born in Harrington, daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Hulbert) Wright.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and going to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Wright and Albert Wright.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Howard E. Payne; four children, Ronald L. Payne and his wife Wanda L. of Greenwood, Robert H. Payne and his wife Gail of Middletown, Gary P. Payne and his wife Terri of Port Orange, Fla., and Kevin I. Payne and his wife Donna of Hadden Field, NJ.; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Payne, Todd Payne, Bryan Payne, Scott Payne, Becky Payne, Adam Payne, Phillip Payne, Garrett Payne, Kyle Payne and Anna Payne; two sisters, Thelma Orth and Daisy Hill, both of Dover; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wright of Milford.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 1 p.m.

Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
