William S. Garner Jr.

William S. Garner Jr., 93

LITITZ, Pa. - William S. Garner Jr. of Lititz, formerly of Kissel Hill, entered into rest Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Moravian Manor, Lititz. He was 93.

Mr. Garner was born in Warwick Township, a son of the late William and Hattie (Stark) Garner.

He was the husband of the late Marian (Hess) Garner.

Before retirement, he worked at Hamilton Watch as a tool and die maker. He was the longest male member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill.

Mr. Garner enjoyed hunting, fishing, quoits, gardening and lawn work.

In his younger years, he was a baseball player in the church league.

He is survived by two sons, Glenn L. Garner of Lincoln and Bruce E and his wife Mary Jane (Wanner) Garner of Lancaster; a daughter, Fay E. and her husband Ralph Wiest of Ephrata; two brothers, Walter S. Garner of Denver and Ray E. Garner of Lancaster; four sisters, Violet Weit of Lititz, Reba Weit, Susan Huber, and Miriam Wolf, all of Ephrata; three granddaughters, Debra L. and her husband Jeffrey L. Weit of Lititz, Diane J. and her husband Jeffrey L. Futer of Hummelstown, and Amy L. and her husband Mark Ware of Littleton, Colo.; five great-grandchildren, Derek Weit, Amanda Weit, Jacklyn Weit, Kevin Ware and Blaine Ware; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Courtney Futer and Philip Futer.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, with Pastor David E. Klepper officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions in William's memory sent to Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
