William M. Yerkie III, 20

MAGNOLIA - William M. Yerkie III, of Magnolia, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. He was 20.

He was born Feb. 26, 1987, in Dover, to William Yerkie Jr. and Connie Lynn (Satterfield) Yerkie.

William attended Caesar Rodney High School and was in the R.O.T.C. program.

He was a seasonal worker at Dover International Speedway in the souvenir warehouse.

William had a deep love for Pickering Beach and Delaware Bay; his boats, Eclipse and Second Chance; his truck, Cold Army; and his faithful dog, Sunny.

He had a deep respect for the Delaware Volunteer Fire Service through his grandfather with the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Co.

He was preceded in death by his father, William M. Yerkie Jr.; a sister, Karen Connelly; and an aunt, Tracy (Satterfield) Hobbs.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Lynn (Satterfield) Manbeck of Magnolia; grandparents, Ralph and Edith Satterfield of Magnolia; brother, Dale Connelly of Alabama; an aunt, Sharon Satterfield of Dover; dear cousins, Tina Yearsley and Terri Tucker; his girlfriend, Kaela Ehret; uncles, James Yerkie, Edward Yerkie and Ernest Yerkie; aunts, Tara Yerkie, Cheryl Olbrich, Janet Yerkie and Marion Yerkie; great-aunts, Doris Thompson and Laura Winkler; and many more cousins and friends.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
