Haymond, 72 GREENWOOD - William "Bill" L. Haymond passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. Bill was born July 4, 1942 in Greenwood to the late Harlan and Kathryn Kenton Haymond. He was a member of Hickory Ridge Community Church in Greenwood. Bill had worked at Penn Fibre in Greenwood for about twelve years. He was also a former member of the Greenwood Police Department for several years. Bill enjoyed gardening, and had a love for music. He played the guitar and shared his love of music with his son and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers Harlan Jr., Clayton, Eugene, and Robert; three sisters Kathleen Willey, Lola Gerardi, and Pauline Webb Nickerson. Bill was survived by his wife, Ann Kotlaba Haymond of 53 years; a son, William "Billy" Haymond Jr. of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Crystal Nickerson, Christopher Haymond, Alyssa Brown, and Jeremiah Haymond; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, DE 19950. Friends and family may call Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood.
