William John Dingethal, Jr. son of William John Dingethal, Sr. and Dorothy Anne (Schriber) Dingethal, both deceased, passed away on April 5, 2021.
Bill survived his first wife of 31 years (Sally Yoshii of Anahola, Kauai) and his second wife of 27 years (Nicola Jones of Holland, Pa.).
Born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1937. Graduate of Delhaas High School, Bristol Township, Pa. Obtained a B.S. in Commerce from Rider College in Lawrenceville, N.J. in 1974 after attending night classes for seven years. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Torpedoman's mate second class.
Retired in 1996 from International Business System, a rotary forms printer in King of Prussia, Pa. where he held a position of Vice President of Marketing. While employed, Bill was very active with Document Management Industries Association, the trade association organization associated with the printing industry. He served on their Board of Directors for eight years and was the Manufacturer Section Vice President in the years 1995 – 1996. He was recognized in the association in 1989 as the Associate Member of the Year. Bill also obtained his Certified Forms Consultant (CFC) status in 1993 and his Certified Document Consultant (CDC) status in 1998.
After retirement, Bill continued his volunteer work by serving on the Board of Directors for the Rail Trail Council of Northeast, Pa., being a driver for Meals on Wheels program in Susquehanna County, Pa. and as a counselor for the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE).
He also substituted as a teacher in the Mt. View School District being a part of the Pennsylvania Guest Teacher Program. He taught all subjects and all grades, K-12 but love the little guys the most. He came home from having the second grade one day told his loving wife, Nikki, that he had a wonderful day but never tied so many shoelaces and bows behind dresses in his life.
Another venture he enjoyed, which he had been active in since 2001 was Barbershop singing. Bill sang Lead with the Scranton Friendly City Chorus.
Before moving to a 55+ community in Magnolia, Del. in 2008, Bill and his wife, Nikki were avid snowmobilers, but had to give up the sport because the weather began to bother him as he aged. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife Nikki to far away places like Australia, Alaska, Hawaii, Thailand, Barbados and St. Lucia. They also enjoyed a cruise through the Panama Canal and many many cruises to the Caribbean. They also enjoyed many tours and trips to places in the beautiful US of A, like Cape Cod, Mass., Branson, Mo., Niagara Falls, Memphis, Nashville, Yellowstone and the Black Hills of S.D.
