William J. 'Bill'Kinnamon, 91

SEAFORD - William J. "Bill" Kinnamon of Seaford passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 91.

Mr. Kinnamon was born March 1, 1916, in Eldorado, Md., son of the late James and Olivia Holder.

He was raised by the late Guy and Florence Kinnamon.

Mr. Kinnamon served his country in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.

After the military, he became a tech operator at E.I. DuPont in Seaford for 33 years and retired in 1978.

Mr. Kinnamon was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford.

He was a member of the Federalsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5246 and the American Legion in Hurlock.

Mr. Kinnamon loved sports and was a devoted Yankees fan.

He enjoyed working in his garden and traveling.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Garland Holder, Webster Holder and Carl Holder; and two sisters, Marge Kelly and Esther Holly.

Mr. Kinnamon is survived by his wife of 65 years, Arintha "Rinky" (Watkins) Kinnamon, whom he married May 30, 1942; two sons, Ronald Guy Kinnamon and his wife Mellie, and Gary John Kinnamon and his wife Margaret, all of Seaford; two grandchlldren, William Guy Kinnamon and Renata Lynn Kinnamon, both of Seaford; one great-granddaughter, Caitlin N. Cudworth of Seaford; a sister, Ruth Grove of Bridgeville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, Md., where friends may call one hour prior.

Interment will follow at McKendree Cemetery, near Rhodesdale, Md., with military honors.
