ELLENDALE - William Henry Jennette of Ellendale died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, in the Smyrna Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill. He was 90.
Mr. Jennette was born Aug. 14, 1916, in High County, N.C., son of the late Sam and Flora Lee Jennette.
He was self employed in the pulp wood business.
Mr. Jennette was a member of the Cathedral of Love, Lincoln.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Bell Jennette; and two brothers, Charlie Jennette and Harold Jennette.
He is survived by a niece and stepdaughter, Mattie Louise Waters of Ellendale; a sister-in-law, Isabell Jennette; three nephews, Charlie Jennette Jr. of Kentucky, Russell Lee Jennette of Georgia and Mardell Jennette of North Carolina; three nieces, Maureen Hardy, Lyle Elizabeth Spencer and Shelbie Jean Emerson, all of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Elverna Waters, Mattie Fulton of Georgetown, Delores Williams of Lincoln, Laniel Waters of Milford, Ricky Waters of Milford and Michael Waters of Florida; and a host of other grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today in Solid Rock Church, Old State Road, Ellendale, Pa., where friends may call one hour earlier.
