McFadden , 84 MAGNOLIA - William H. McFadden "Bill" passed away Wednesday March 5, 2014 at home. Mr. McFadden was born August 14, 1929 in Clayton, Delaware. He worked as an auto mechanic, for George Hoffecker in Smyrna and then for many years, at Delaware Auto Sales in Dover, retiring in 2011. Mr. McFadden owned a 1966 Chevy pickup truck and loved to go to antique car and truck shows as a participant and spectator. He enjoyed NASCAR especially watching, Jeff Gordan, and Kyle Bush. Mr. McFadden also enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables and decorating his yard for Christmas. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband. Mr. McFadden was preceded in death by his mother, Mary McGinnis; his grandparents Lewis and Lily McFadden; brothers, Eddie, Archie, and Joe McGinnis; brothers in law, Kenny Boone and Jerry Foster. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margaret Ann Biddle McFadden of Magnolia; daughters, Bonnie Smith of Bridgeville, DE, Mary Ellen Masten and her husband Vane of Clayton, Brenda McFadden and her husband John Winicov of Devon, PA, Beatrice Melvin and her husband John of Clayton; siblings, Dorothy Foster of Dover, Pat Boone of Hartly, Carroll McGinnis and his wife Stella of Felton, Paul McGinnis and his wife Pat of Hartly and Kennard McGinnis and his wife Edith of Hartly; grandchildren, William Masten and his fiancé Crystal, Danny Masten, John Masten and his wife Tiffani, Krystal Hannum and Philip Winicov; and six great-grandchildren; and his devoted dog Snuggles. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, MD. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
