SALEM, W.Va. - Vivian J. Summers Buckhannon, of Flinderation, died at home Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, following an extended illness. She was 77.
She was born July 28, 1930, at Pennsboro, the daughter of the late George L. and Opie Icie Bayne Summers.
Vivian was a Methodist by faith and a 30-year employee of United Hospital Center.
Her hobbies included puzzles, reading, camping and spending time with her family.
Vivian was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Steve D. Buckhannon; two daughters and their husbands, Donna S. and Roger Grimes of Salem and Diedra J. and Richard Pieshala of Camden, Del.; four grandchildren, Amanda Pieshala of Camden, Steven and Erin Pieshala of Harrington, Del., Stephanie and Scott Zirkle and Michael and Autumn Grimes of Salem; two great-grandsons, Andrew and Adam Grimes of Salem; and three sisters, Elizabeth Peters, Nina Cleavenger, and Marjorie Fouss of West Virginia.
Services were held in Clarksburg.
