Vickie Beene Fields Marousek

DUNLAP, Tenn. - Vickie Beene Fields Marousek, 65, of Dunlap, Tenn. passed away, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her home. She was born in Chattanooga and later moved to Dunlap in 1988. She worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee for 25 years as a Contract Specialist and was secretary at Chapel Hill Methodist Church for five years. She received her Associates Degree in Business Management from Chattanooga State and after going to night school for ten years, she received her Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She was a member of Dunlap Post 190 of American Legion Auxiliary for 15 years. She was given her Indian name "Nudal Datlana'dadisq" (Another Chance) by the Mid Atlantic Eastern Band of Cherokees. Her love of animals rescued over 500 and found them loving homes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Beene Coombs and Leon Beene. Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Jay" Marousek; daughter, Wendy (Mickey) Craft; and while she was married to Roy James Fields for 23 years, she was part of his children's lives, Joy (Cotton) Kilgore and Steven (Lisa) Fields; along with nine grandchildren; sister, Jeannie (Tim) Johnson; and half brother and sisters, Johnny (Tracey) Beene, Annette Beene and Holly (Barry) McMannis; aunts, Hilda Stewart and Betty Cagle; uncles, Bobby Beene, Bruce Beene, Jim (Robin) Beene, and Carlos (Sharon) Bean; longtime friend, Marilyn Holland; and faithful companions, Lacy, TBone, and Drifter. Funeral and burial services were held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel and Chapel Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Tom Tucker officiating. She requested no flowers and to please make donations to where her heart was: Paws and Claws Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1135; Pikeville, TN 37367 or any other animal rescue.
