BRIDGEVILLE - Velma L. Breeding, formerly of Bridgeville, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown. She was 96 years old. Born in Queen Anne, Md. on December 9, 1917, Mrs. Breeding was the daughter of the late Harry Eaton and Anna Augusta Pinder Eaton. She had lived in Bridgeville since 1988. She had attended the Tri-County High School in Queen Anne. She had worked as a seamstress at ILC in Frederica, for 19½ years. Mrs. Breeding is survived by three sons, Douglas D. Breeding of Ellendale, Larry Breeding of Harrington, and Blaine Edgar Breeding of Seaford; one daughter, Carolyn Jean Harris of Frederica; one sister, Anna Mae Walls of Ridgely, Md.; and a brother, James Eaton of Denton, Md.; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers, Hopkins Eaton, A. Paul Eaton, Russell Eaton, Percy Eaton, and Preston Eaton; three sisters, Florence Cronshaw, Edna Palmatory, and Brena Morris; and one grandson, Keith Breeding. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. before the service.
