Thomas M. O'Connell, 79 MILFORD - Thomas M. O'Connell, 79, of Milford, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at home. He was born on June 8, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Phillip and Viola (Jackson) O'Connell. Thomas served his country proudly in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. From 1970 to 1978 he resided in Milford. He was a member of the Carlisle Fire Dept. for four years. Tom and his wife moved to Mission Viejo, Calif., where they lived for 21 years; he was employed in the Aerospace Industry. In 2000, the O'Connell's returned to the Milford area to be closer to relatives. He enjoyed extensive travel and sports, mainly football. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, C.J. O'Connell; his sister, Catherine Swiggett; and two children, Thomas and Christine. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra.
