Thomas I. Loper, 65 MILFORD - Thomas I. Loper, of Milford, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Bayhealth - Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 65. Mr. Loper was born in Baltimore, the son of the late Joseph and J. Dorothy Loper Gourley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a custodian for the Milford School District for 29 years, retiring in 1991, and also worked at Wal-Mart for 12 years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bonnie Donovan Loper; one son, Thomas Parsons of Milford; six stepchildren, Jimmy Tibbitt, Sammy Tibbitt, Crystal Tibbitt, Kelly Peregoy, Kim Rogers and Karen Pechart; brothers, Ronnie Loper, and Mike Loper; and one sister, Debbie Pinder; and several grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
