DOVER - Theresa Bales passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Dover, Del.
Known as Diane by all who knew her, she was an avid quilter, seamstress, crafter, cook, and baker. She was actively involved in her church, first at Kent Christian Center in Dover, Del., then at Lighthouse Christian Center in Milford, Del. She was a member of the choir, and also served in the Hospitality Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold A. Liles, Sr., & Cleta J. Liles.
She is survived by her husband, Walter D. Bales, Jr.; children, Walter Bales, III (Shawna), Calvin Bales (Denise); siblings, Harold Liles, Jr. (Cindy), Robert Liles, Calvin Liles, Sr. (Kathy), CoWanda Ritter (Steve); sister-in-love, Terri Hewitt; grandchildren, Kaleb, Bethany & Jorden Bales, Sydney & Garrett Bales; honorary grandchildren, Melody and Jessica Miller; and multiple nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held 6-8p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 East Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Lighthouse Christian Church, 347 Calvary Road, Milford, DE 19963.
Interment will be private, in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Del.
