Retired MSGT. Susan M. Boone FREDERICA Retired MSGT. Susan M. Boone, 51, of Frederica, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1959 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Susan served her country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. Afterwards she worked as a vendor for the commissary at the Dover Air Force Base until retiring due to her health. She enjoyed bass fishing, going to yard sales and gardening. Susan was loved and respected by all. Susan is preceded in death by her mother Maryline Meindersma and two sisters Diane Boone and Cathy Kovanis. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Timothy Boone; her father, Donald Meindersma and his wife Mary Lou of South Carolina; a daughter, Jessica Boone of Manassas, Va.; a son, Ryan Boone at home; two brothers, Jon Meindersma of Massachusetts and Brian Meindersma of Florida and an extended family of aunts, uncles and many friends. A committal service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. A gathering of fellowship and remembrance will be announced following the committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
