CENTREVILLE, Md. - Stevie LaPaul Dean Sr. of Centreville died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, in the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore. He was 52.

Stevie was born June 13, 1955, in Chestertown, to the late Betty Jacobs Seney and Robert Dean of Wilmington.

He attended Queen Anne's County Public School and graduated from Queen Anne's High School in 1974.

Stevie was employed at General Motors Co. in Newark, Del., and Queen Anne's County Public Schools before becoming ill.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Sheu-ron Dean.

He survived by his wife, Crystal Dean of Centreville; father, Robert Dean; three children, Stevie LaPaul Dean Jr. of Centreville, Stephanie Jason and her husband William of Barclay and Sharmonique Dean of Centreville; one brother, Gregory Dean of Centreville; one sister, Lounell Badgett and her husband Darryl of College Park; granddaughter, Jansaha Dean of Denton and Jasmine Naloni Dean; two sisters-in-law, Lynette Taylor of Wilmington, Del., and Mary Jacobs of Laurel; four brothers-in-law, William Maddox of Wilmington, Tracy Taylor of Centreville, Frederick Taylor of Centreville and John Taylor Sr. of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Dean of Denton; a special uncle, William Jacobs; two godsons, Richard Thomas and Kyle Hollis; mother-in-law, Sadie Felton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at Bethel AME Church, Centreville, where friends may call two hours prior.

Burial will be in Male and Female Beneficial Cemetery, Burrsville.

Arrangements by Kenneth Walley Funeral Service, Chestertown.
