VIOLA - Steven M. White passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 at Milford Memorial Hospital. Mr. White was born Feb. 1, 1954 in Camden, N.J., to Charles M. White and the late Grace Faust White. He worked as a machinist for 36 years for the Department of Defense at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and Dover Air Force Base. Mr. White enjoyed woodworking, boat building and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He volunteered with the AWANA Children's Ministries and was a faithful member at Faith Community Church. Mr. White is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley Clark White, of Viola; son, Brian White and his wife, Sara, of Dillsburg, Pa.; daughter, Katie White, of Pensacola, Fla.; father, Charles M. White, of Milford; brother, Michael R. White, of Milford; and grandchildren, Samuel, Reagan and Hannah White. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Highway, Camden, DE 19934. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to AWANA Ministry, Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Highway, Camden, DE 19934.
