DOVER - Sterling I. Smith, born Nov. 4, 1968, departed this life April 23, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, Grady I. Smith Sr.; grandmother, Mae H. Smith; grandfathers, George Stevenson, and Earl Smith; and niece, Vanna L. Bradshaw. He leaves to cherish his memory, his significant other, Samantha J. Caldwell; their children, Sarah Smith-Caldwell, and Selena Caldwell; two children from a previous relationship, Latisha Hamilton and Joseph Smith; his mother, Floreda E. Smith; sisters, Vivian E. Smith, Valerie Bradshaw and husband Leroy, Karen E. Smith, Marian E. Walley and husband Marcus, Anita Maria Douglas, Sabrina M. Elliott and husband Wayne; brothers, Grady I. Smith Jr. and Titus I. Smith and wife Donna; and a grandmother, host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. May 5, at First Pilgram Baptist Church, 6 Miles Lane, Camden, with viewing from 9-11 a.m. Arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
