Stephen Michael Cerko, 36

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Stephen Michael Cerko, died Thursday, October 1, 2009, due to injuries from an auto accident. He was 36 years old. Stephen was born October 3, 1972 in Dover, Delaware to Anthony J. Cerko and Karen Hubbard Taylor. Stephen was President & CEO of Kaiser Transportation Incorporated. He was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also enjoyed boating, picking crabs, hanging out with family and friends and unwinding on their porch with his Mary overlooking Back Creek. Stephen was preceded in death by his stepfather, Dennis Taylor 8/11/2006. He is survived by his mother Karen Taylor of Smyrna; his beloved fiancé Mary C. Peaster of Boulder, Colo. & Annapolis Md.; his father Anthony J. Cerko of Charleston S.C.; his grandmother, Charlotte Hubbard of Pasadena, Md.; two brothers, Ryan Brown of Wilmington, De. & Dennis Szabo of Smyrna, De.; two sisters, Sara and Courtney Cerko both of Denver, Colo.; his Uncle, John Hubbard. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Monday October 5, 2009 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10). Friends may call two hours prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to MADD, 103 Caitlins Way, Millsboro, DE, 19966, DE.STATE@MADD.ORG or Gift of Life, 401 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at torbertfuneral.com
