MILFORD - Stella M. Potter Warnock, of Milford, born Oct. 7, 1925, and passed away on May 30, 2011 at Bayhealth in Milford after suffering a short illness. Stella was a resident of Heritage Homestead since August 2010. Stella spent many years with a life-long friend, Phyllis Robinson, doing alterations in Milford. She was an honorary member of Calvary U.M. Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, all in Milford. Stella was preceded in death by both parents, Benjamin and Sally (Donovan) Potter; her husband, Robert Warnock Jr.; and two brothers, Willard Potter and Benjamin Potter Jr. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Hitchens and Shirley Stevenson; and a brother, Horace Potter, all of Milford. Additionally, she is survived by three sons, David and wife Carole, Thomas and wife Jeannie, all of Milford and Robert, of Star Tannery, Va.; a granddaughter, Dianne Varanko and husband Matt; two grandsons, Brian Warnock and wife Michele and Travis Warnock and wife Jennifer; and a great granddaughter, Juliana Warnock. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford with visitation after 12 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
