Stanley Kulhanek passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. His passing is three short months after the passing of his beloved wife Louise Kulhanek.
On April 6, 1932, Stan was born in New York, New York to the late Mary and Frank Kulhanek. He was always proud to say he retired from Chrysler after working at the factory in Newark, Del. for 38 years. Stan also worked for George and Lynch for brief periods when the Chrysler plant would shut down. Stan married Louise on July 28, 1984, and they spent 38 years together before her passing earlier this year.
Stan enjoyed traveling to PA in his younger years, fishing at their home in Virginia, collecting trains, going to tractor pulls, yard sales, gardening, masonry, metal work, chatting with his friends and neighbors with a cup of coffee, and always lending a helping hand.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Frank; wife, Louise; sibling-in-laws, Merle Wilhelm Jr., Frank Wilhelm, Lawrence Wilhelm, Charles Wilhelm, William Wilhelm, Dolly Meredith, and Anna Pinder. Stan is survived by his son, Stanley Crisco Jr., (Barbara) of Middletown; son, Randy Crisco (Holly) of Dover; grandsons, Timmy Crisco (Tracy), Robert Crisco, and David Crisco (Michelle); granddaughter, Alex Crisco; several greatgrandchildren; sister-in-laws, Hazel Longfellow, Mary Ann Longfellow (John Vincent), Barbra Hutson, Florence Sewell; brother-in-law, James Wilhelm; and niece, Sandy Pallam (Dave).
The family would like to thank State Street Assisted living for helping to take care of Stan for the past several months.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del. with a short service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will take place after the service at Hopkins Cemetery in Felton, Del.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Compassionate Care Hospice or a personal favorite charity in his honor.
Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
