Stacy Dill, 29

MILFORD - Stacy Dill, of Milford, died Monday, May 19, 2008, in Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, after a long Illness. She was 29.

Stacy was born in Milford, daughter of John and Sandra (Fitzgerald) Dill.

She was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, Class of 1997, and attended Temple University, Philadelphia, for two years, and Wesley College, Dover, for one year.

Stacy worked in area retail stores, then as a project manager for Toll Brothers, Bethany Beach, until her illness.

She was then a homemaker until her death.

Stacy was quite an independent person and would do what she wanted to do. Nothing ever held her back. She enjoyed getting tattoos and riding motorcycles and off-road vehicles with her fiance, DJ.

She enjoyed camping, eating Chesapeake blue crabs and going to the Old Mill Crab House, Delmar.

Stacy was very family oriented. She loved her son Jackson and had been very close to her grandfather, John Dill Sr., before his death.

She also loved animals and had a habit of taking in stray and homeless animals and caring for them. She had five dogs.

Because of her fiance, she adopted the state of Texas as her home.

Stacy and her cousin Sarah enjoyed spending time at their cousin Chris's establishment, Park Place in Milford.

She is survived by her son, Jackson D. Weinberg of Lincoln and his father Jeff Weinberg of Lincoln; her fiance, Daniel "D.J." Cagle of Milford; her mother and father, Sandra Fitzgerald and John W. Dill of Slaughter Beach; two sisters, Sherrie Lech and her husband Gene of Alma, Ark., and Shaina Currey of Harrington; three brothers, Tod Currey of Slaughter Beach, John W. Dill III and his wife Kelly of Danville, Ill., and George Dill of Watertown, N.Y.; her maternal grandmother, Irene Fitzgerald of Slaughter Beach; her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and two close girlfriends, Angie and Nikki.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call after noon.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Jackson Weinberg College Fund, c/o Sandra Fitzgerald Dill, 335 Bay Ave., Milford, DE 19963.
