Shirley May Arnold, 86
WYOMING - Shirley May Arnold went home to be with our Lord on April 7, 2022.
Mrs. Arnold's greatest joy was her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow into their adult lives. Other recent happy times included frequent lunches with friends. Shirley was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Camden Wyoming Fire Company and a member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge. She also enjoyed working in her large vegetable garden and sharing its bounty.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. "Butch" Arnold, who died in 2013. She is survived by her children, Harold Arnold, Jr. and her daughter in law Linda Hunter of Wyoming, Melanie Malloy and her husband Michael of Wyoming and Kelly Cord of Dover; three sisters, Alice Harnish, Thelma Rhodes and Marianne March, all of Coatesville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Joseph and Joshua Arnold, Halee Arnold and Meghan Malloy; four great grandchildren; and 20 nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her four brothers, her sister, and her Chihuahua, Tia.
A funeral service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kent County Chapter of the SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
