
Sharon May Neal, 77
Sharon M. Neal passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on June 18, 2021.
She was born to Fred S. and Mildred A. Lujan on March 23, 1944 in Denver, Colorado.
Sharon moved from Colorado to Delaware in the late 60's. She worked at ILC in Dover where she met Jerry and their love story began. Sharon and Jerry were partners in life and business. They were self-employed for over 30 years with several businesses including Kent Upholstery, Smyrna Video, 3 laundromats and several rental properties. Sharon loved working with the public and going to people's homes for upholstery and interior design appointments. She loved greeting people in the video store and made many lifetime friends from their tenants over the years.
Sharon and Jerry spent many years and over 18,000 miles traveling across the country in their motorhome. Some of their most memorable trips included Niagara Falls, Mt. Rushmore, several National Parks and numerous trips to Denver.
Sharon loved spending time at Buttonwood Beach where she and the family would boat and jet ski. She was a passionate reader and a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred S. and Mildred A. Lujan of Colorado; and her brother, James Lujan of New Mexico.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jerry A. Neal; her daughters, Robyn N. Hall (Jim), Donna L. Gregory (Dan); and her sister, Rita Beatty of Colorado. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Michael Gregory, Victoria Gregory, and Connor Hall.
Please join the family in a "Celebration of Life" held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Neal's residence located at 54 Oscar Mill Lane in Smyrna.
