DOVER - Sharia Lanee Moses, formerly of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2007, in Newport News, Va.

She was born Aug. 6, 1993, in Dover.

Sharia attended the Caesar Rodney School District until 2006. Sharia attended Reservoir Middle School and was in the seventh grade.

Sharia loved singing, going to the movies and spending quality time with her friends in Virginia and Delaware. Sharia loved eating crabs and would sit down and eat them with her grandmother "Dorothy." Sharia was vibrant and has a smile that would light up a room.

Sharia was loved by pastors, teachers, hospital staff, friends and family. Sharia dealt with chronic asthma since she was 2 years old. Sharia showed great strength and courage with all that she went through in life and she never complained.

Sharia accepted the Lord into her life. Sharia loved going to church and praising the Lord. Sharia loved giving God the Glory. She would dance the house down.

Sharia attended Whole Truth Temple COGIC where her grandfather Pastor Robert L. Williams is pastor. She was faithful to the local, district and state "Sunshine Band."

While attending Whole Truth she was faithful to Sunday school where she did not have a problem speaking her mind. She was on the praise and worship team, all choirs and praise dance team. She was always giggling and smiling. Before moving to Virginia, she attended Morning Star Institutional COGIC where Elder Thomas Holsey is pastor. Sharia was on the praise dance team and on all choirs.

Sharia was preceded in death by great-grandmothers, Dannie Mae Nickerson "Big Mom" and Hazel Walker; and great-grandfathers, George Washington "Big Pop," Walter Nickerson and Rueben Walker.

Sharia is survived by her parents, Shaun Moses and Renee Moses; two brothers, Shaun Moses of New York and Anthony Moses of Virginia; one sister, Tierra Moses of Virginia; one nephew, Zion Blackshear of Dover; maternal grandparents, Pastor Robert Williams and Mother Dorothy Williams, both of Delaware; paternal grandparents, Kenny Moses and Delores Moses, both of Virginia; three aunts, Dedine Couch, Joyce Williams of Dover and Shelly and her husband, Ken Parks of Arkansas; uncles, Zackary and his wife, Iris Moses of Virginia and Robert Williams Jr. of Dover; godmother, Sheretta Burris; special family friends, Alvenia Wallace, Carla Wallace, Nadia, Najai, Ciera, Kim, Shay, Brittney, and Briana; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that Sharia loved so dearly.

Services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bibleway COGIC in Dover where friends may view three hours prior.

Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Sharon Hill Cemetery.
