HOUSTON - Sarah E. Hunter died peacefully at her home on July 24, 2011. She was 93 years. She was born March 22, in Viola, the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Roland. She was a member of Houston Methodist Church. She worked at the Ace Dress Factory for 30 years and several years at the Etna Shirt Co until she retired in 1983. She will always be remembered by her faith in God and her ever present smile. Sarah enjoyed gardening, sewing and her family. She was devoted to her many cats and reading the Bible. Her family was her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Thomas E. Hunter; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by six children, Charles Farrow of Williston, S.C., Rosetta Hunnicutt of Harvey, Ark., F. Lowell Farrow of Magnolia, Mary Ann Lowe of Cocoa, Fla., and Louse Gill of Milford, and Hazel Anderson of Rover, Ark.; one sister, Olive Reynolds of Waverly, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held today, July 28, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St, Milford, where friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
