Sarah E. Durney, 67

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Sarah E. Durney, of Chestertown, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 67.

She was born in Elkton on Oct. 29, 1940, daughter of the late Omar Jones and Mildred Ruth Merchant Husfelt.

She was the wife of the late Samuel Joseph Durney, whom she married Aug. 7, 1964.

Mr. and Mrs. Durney resided in Chesapeake City for 23 years, where they worked on Woodstock Farms before moving to Kentucky and later Florida.

They later moved and settled in Chestertown.

Mrs. Durney was a homemaker and a devoted wife.

She is survived by a brother, Norman Husfelt of Elkton; and a sister, Dorothy Coffee of Leesburg, Va.

Services and interment will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
