DENTON, Md. - Sarah De-Ello Golas, of Denton, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in the Washington Medical Center, Washington, D.C. She was 59.
Born in Littleton, Colo., Mrs. Golas was the daughter of Helen Sidney Cook Connelly of Grand Junction, Colo., and the late Lester J. Connelly.
Her husband, Edward J. Golas Jr., lives in Denton.
Mrs. Golas was an artist. She taught art in the Caroline County Recreation and Parks After School Program and also at the Caroline County Senior Center.
She also served on the Denton Architectural Review Committee.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Golas is survived by one daughter, Carmen De-Ello Tracey of Plano, Texas; one son, Jefferson Smith Golas of Harvard; two sisters, Sidney Morris of Fairfax, Va., and Claudia Underwood of Grand Junction, Colo.; one brother, Lester Connelly of Palmer, Alaska; five grandchildren, Zyler Tracey, DeMarcus Anthony Culliver, Michael Alexander Golas, Darius James and London Golas; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday in the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 W. Bell St., Ridgely, MD 21660.
