MILFORD - Sandra E. Peterman, of Milford, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 13, 2009. She was 65. She was born in Milford, the daughter of the late John and Lida "Sis" (Walls) Ellingsworth. Sandy was a full time wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. She attended the Church of the Nazarene, where she was a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher for the 2 and 3 year olds. She loved the Lord and was a goodwill ambassador who lived her life for other people. Sandy did a lot of nursing home visits and visits with shut-ins. She worked tirelessly to help others accepting only a thank you in return. She truly loved her husband, children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her granddaughter, Madison Scot Peterman; and a brother, Richard "Peanut" Ellingsworth. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Harold "Jack" Peterman; two sons, Barry Peterman and his wife Wendy of Lincoln, and Michael Scott Peterman and his wife Carrie of Milford; two grandchildren, Keith and Eric Peterman; a brother, Douglas Ellingsworth and his wife Dawn of Milford; and a sister, Patricia Cannon of Vero Beach, Fla. Services were Sunday, April 19, at the Church of the Nazarene, 11 Salevan Place, Milford. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Church of the Nazarene, c/o Childrens Ministry, 11 Salevan Place, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
