BRIDGEVILLE - Sandra (Sandy) Lee Welch Sorrells passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Sandy worked at the Tastee Freez in Greenwood, the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, Elmer's Market on Rt. 404, and Solo Cup Company in Federalsburg, Md. She loved shopping and cooking. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas Jr. and Mildred E. Kemp Welch. Sandy is survived by her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Sorrells of almost 40 years; children, Heather Lee Sorrells and her companion Casey Baker of Lewes, Joseph R. Sorrells and Jennifer his wife of Seaford; a grandson, Shannon Baker; two sisters, Vicki Welch Evans of Lewes and Susan Welch and her companion Glenn Hayman of Harrington; and a brother, Ricky Welch and his wife Christine of Bridgeville. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Arrangements will be handled by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
